There were about twenty in the class and we were all rather frightened at the prospect of starting our high school Clays. Miss Hodson was the sponsor and the class officers were: President, Margaret Brooksg Vice-President, Elizabeth Davisg Secretary, Henrietta Henryg Treasurer, Ann May Griffin. As Sophomores our class lost a few members. Mr- Ballard was the class sponsor and the officers were: President, Henrietta Henryg Vice-President, Elizabeth Davisg Secretary-Treasurer, Harold Walter. Sophomore Class History MOTTO-Sincerity, Simplicity, Service. -:il If there is one class in high school to be pitied, it is the Sophomores. It is generally considered that the Freshman class is very important fin their own estimationj, the Juniors are decidedly Grown Up, and everyone knows the Seniors are dignified, but the Sophomores are just Sophomoresf' But for all of that we have a group this year of which to be proud, ten girls and thirteen boys. Two boys are among the Hrst eight of the basketball teamg three on the second team, one of last year's tennis championsg several honor stud- entsg and romanceg why, we can almost compete with the Seniors in romance.
