THODE IS WELCOMED BACK TO STAY .- ..-r..s U is One of the biggest changes in the business department was the return of Mrs. Thode from a two-year leave of absence. as She taught Shorthand, Typing I, and II, and Intro to Busi- ness. Mrs. Thode said she missed everyone, and was very happy to be back. Mrs. Park and Mrs. Thode attended meetings with the pos- sibility of turning the business department into competency- based classrooms using individualized instruction. Mrs. Tadlock said that she enjoyed teaching her accounting classes, which she said were the largest so far.

' f MATH BRINGS ON PROBLEMS . l X58 The Mathematics department had three difterent instruc- tors teaching seven different subjects this year. Mr. Paul Parker taught Algebra I, and Pre-Algebra. Mr. Dan Oitman taught Geometry, Algebra I, Sr. Math, and Pre-Algebra. Mrs. Kathy Tadiock taught Math I. She also taught Algebra II first semester, and Trig. second semester. Mrs. Tadiock also taught Accounting for the business department. The schedule for 1979-80 did not include Metrics, but as popular as it was in 1978, everyone's sure it will be back. gf' B-hh

The year was begun with a new agriculture teacher, lVliss Sallows. At semester, lVlr. Howard took over. One of the agri- culture department's main projects was putting the finishing touches on the new greenhouse and ag, building. ' One of the most popular agriculture classes was ag construction. The students learned about basic elec- tricity, pouring concrete and are required to submit one wood project.
