There were many ' different classes to choose from. S the guys mostly took Auto Body. ! Building Trades. or Welding. I while the girls seemed to prefer child care or Health Occupations. u-u- IN TERRELA TED STUDENTS GET TO WORK During the day interrelated students work atjobs outside of the school. They get paid and credit toward graduation. They also get on-the-job experience which they hope will help them later in life with otherjobs. Mrs. Kertz took over the interrelated class this year. lt was herjob to supervise the students work experience, maintain a good relationship between the school and the employees as well as to conduct the classroom sessions. The students try to findjobs that are related to what they hope will be future employment. Twenty-five students were involved in the Interrelated program as of the end of this year. BA D TAKESA FIR TAT The 1977-78 Riverdale High School band had a very busy year. Throughout the summer and school year the band was involved in many activities During the summer the band marched in parades for Port Byron, Cordova, and Hillsdale. During late summer the band practiced to march for football half-time shows. The band was always performing for athletic events, including pep assemblies. basketball games, and wrestling meets. The rest of the bands, time was spent rehearsing for their Christmas concert, pops concert. contest. the concert for the elementary kids, their performance at class night and graduation, and pit band rehearsals for the spring musical. Guys and Dolls. They did well this year at contest. There were eight I, solos, eight Il solos. seven I ensembles. thirteen II ensembles, and the full band got a I.
