A new shop facility and greenhouse are to be located on the Southwest wing of the school. by the bus garage. The cost is approximately 2.000 dollars. Mr. Boeck. the new Ag. instructor feels this facility will provide the students with experience. something that a textbook could not. There is a growing amount of interest in the field of gardening. Mr. Boeck has taught Ag. in two schools before coming to Riverdale. He enjoys teaching here because he gets along well with both the teachers and the students. He has improved the Ag. program by adding an independent study and a Farm Maintenance course. The number of students in these and other courses have increased a lot since last year. The students feel these changes are helping to increase their knowledge in many fields and respond with comments like. He know what he is talking about.

Mr. Stenzel was welcomed by our two returning Social Studies teachers. Mr. Lancaster and Mr. Watson. Survey of American History has been added to Mr. Lancaster's schedule. It has proved to be a popular class with both teacher and students. Sociology. taught by Mr. Watson, is also a well-liked class. Its aim is to help students toward a better understanding of their personalities and behavior. A shared effort by these three teachers has helped make Social Studies an interesting and educational part of the school year.- Q .. rr. -. iaff fn- 5 4'-gh . - .- Ha., I 4' I .--5 i ff m 1 Q. ,- 1 'H-N. l ?
