TEA CHERS I MOTIO The 1977-78 P. E. department went fairly well, considering some of the confusion of teachers switchingjobs. Mr. Campbell left Riverdale for another job towards the end of lst quarter. Mr. Carbee started full-time to take over Campbell's P. E. classes and Mr. Nelson took Campbellss Health classes while still teaching his regular P. E. classes and his Human Growth and Development classes. Because Mr. Carbee started full-time Mrs. Figgins was hired to take his place, working half the day at the high school and half the day at the elementary school. TOP: Coach Carbee. Mr. Stenzel. taking over where Mr. Michel left off. has already made a lasting impression on the students. His classes are tough. but he makes them interesting and he does make you learn. Mr. Stenzel was welcomed by our two returning Social Studies teachers. Mr. Lancaster and Mr. Watson. Survey of American History has been added to Mr. Lancaster's schedule. It has proved to be a popular class with both teacher and students. Sociology. taught by Mr. Watson, is also a well-liked class. Its aim is to help students toward a better understanding of their personalities and behavior. A shared effort by these three teachers has helped make Social Studies an interesting and educational part of the school year.- Q .. rr. -. iaff fn- 5 4'-gh . - .- Ha., I 4' I .--5 i ff m 1 Q. ,- 1 'H-N. l ?
