The comedy centers around the efforts of the gang to help Wormy Weldy get a Saturday night date. Bernardine is the gang's ideal dream girl. After a series of experiences including the rescue of a high school girl from a town wolf, and the discovery that his Bernar- dine is his mother's best friend, Wormy realizes that he is not ready for a sophisticated dream woman. Instead, Wormy enthusiastically makes a date with Jean, the girl next door. The RHS student body acclaimed Bernardine a most successful and entertaining Riverdale dramatic venture. Girl-next-door Jean QSherrie Robinsonj finds herself unprepared to face smooth talking Dale Nitz. Where's Wormy? Miss Fisher making preparations, in- cluding moving props and rehearsing trio plus one. Wormy fLouie Reilingj finds his Bernardir1e qDenise Dunnj. The Man Who Came to Dinner A piece of ice on the steps of the Stanleys results in Sheridan Whiteside's confinement in Mesalia, Ohio due to a broken hip. The Stanley's life is monopolized by selfish Whiteside. When his efficient secretary Maggie falls in love with a reporter Bert Jefferson, Sheridan summons a glamorous actress Lorraine to win the affections of the reporter. Lor- raine is almost tricked into leaving town by a tele- phone call impersonation of Lord Bottomley, Lor- raine's lover. Lorraine in revenge asks Jefferson to go away to a resort to rewrite a play. Whiteside finally attempts to undo his bad deeds. After trick- ing Lorraine into stepping into a mummy case, he ships her on an around-the-world cruise. Eventually, victorious Whiteside decides to leave in triumph af- ter having blackmailed Mr. Stanley, but slips and breaks his hip again. Ah, and here we have Louis Reiling bearing up under the demands of his role. That's Beth As hdown as the Nurse and Sherrie Robinson plays Louie's friend. Dave Ziegler, as Dr. Bradley the best horse doctor in town strikes the pose he has made famous. u 1 As if Louie hasn't enough trouble. . .Iordis And as the play ends happily Youngquist as the slightly strange ex-axe ever after Steve Battern has murderess. the situation--and Kathi Spen- cer--well in hand. ..q.-.,...-,s.- ggwfswwwww X A Variety of Special Assemblies Add Interest Tommy Lane, Singer David Vanlioevering, Swiss Bell Ringer Bret Kowalski, Trampoline Expert Chuck Naidl, Reptile Farmer Dr. L. Physical education class participants were in- formed ofthe rules of the numerous sports in which they participated. Instructors encouraged following rules of good sportsmanship and as a result many learned how enjoyable friendly athletic activity can be. Athletics teach students valuable concepts and practices about physical exercising and major sports which help them throughout their lives. In addition to developing techniques and healthy bodies, athletic departments encourage fair play and honesty.
