Superintendent The Class of 1966 will remember many events through their Four years. None will have as much overall impact as the day :he people of the district voted 412 to 199 to build a new high :chool at the Coe site. The Class of 1967 will see construction under way. The '68 :lass should be the first to graduate from the new building. The .969 class will, no doubt, be the first to have spent at least one 'ull year in the new structure. The new building will help you look toward more promising aducational opportunities. At this time many of you will not ,ind employment in Rock Island County. However, I believe the pay will be forthcoming when your younger brothers and sisters vill find employment in our area, upper Rock Island County. l There are many Frontiers open to young men and women ivho will learn, , and apply themselves. Will you be the 'Drop-Out or the student who will Drop-In to see his former ieachers to say I fought the 'Poverty War' by study and hard vork. Good Luck Seniors. Opportunity is there. L.A. Dussliere, Superintendent Principal Class of 1966- To you who are graduating I have this to say. Our four years Jf association in high school have at times been arduous, at :ther times tedious, but more often inspiring and rewarding. We iave assigned your lessons, read your papers, directed your dis- zussions, checked your problems, corrected your grammar, en- oyed your stories, listened to your recitations and observed four behavior in and out of the classrooms. We have not been able to answer all your questions. We iave guided you through established lessons from the stored wisdom of modern civilization. It is our hope that what we iave given you will help you to live wisely, serve ably and lead successfully in your time. I am proud to have been your prin- zipal. LM. Deines, Principal
