On the evening of April 24, 1971, the Class of 1972 presented its Junior Prom We've Only Just Begun. The gym was turned into a romantic ball room. Spot- lights shone on sets that told the story of the important events in everyone's life. If you walked through a heart, you would enter a park that contained the long and winding road. You could tell by the cafeteria and the patio that the decorations weren't con- fined to the gym. There was a swing on the patio and a wishing well and lounge chairs in the cafeteria. The Royalty was announced just before the Grand March. Marilyn Pechan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pechan, was crowned Queen. Tim Mathews, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mathews, was named King. Susan Patch and David Roh were the Miniature Royalty. The King and Queen lead the Grand March and everyone joined in. John Marshall and the Melody Kings provided the music. Linda Hedrick sang We've Only Just Begun. The 1971 Prom was a success and was enjoyed by all that attended. .
