William J. C. Ehrler Dormifory Council 6: Glee Club 61 Foofball Varsify 6, Soc- cer J. V. 6q Baslrefball Varsify 6: Baseball Varsify 6: Track 6. Bill, alfhough he has only been wifh us a year, is one of fhe sfellar afhlefes of Riverdale. He has shown his prowess on fhe foofball field, fhe baskef- ball courf, fhe baseball diamond, and fhe fraclr feam, doing fhese varied sporfs wifh equal ease. His versafilify sfops nof only af afhlefics buf con- finues info school life. Bill is usually found wherever 'rhere is a gafhering, and almosf always in fhe cen- fer of if. He is one of fhe heroes of fhe lower school, and fhere is always a large crowd of fhe younger boys cheering for him in games or frailing him afferwards. An oufsfanding afhlefe, Bill leaves us for Springfield. The besf of luck, Bill, in whaf- ever you may meef ahead. SPRINGFIELD Fred W. Geisler Glee Club 6: Foofball Varsify 6, Baslrefball Varsify 65 Base- ball Varsify 65 Track 6. If is foo bad fhaf vaudeville is dead, for were if sfill around, Gus would have his life's worlc planned for him. He is fhe class's consfanf source of humor. If we were fo believe him, everyone in Gloversville, fhe Geisler's home fown, is like fhaf, buf we have our doubfs or else we would all move fhere. Enfering Riverdale fhis fall, Gus earned for himself a place on fhe sfarfing eleven, exfra- ordinary in fhe facf fhaf he had never played High School foofball before. Lasf winfer he played guard on fhe successful baslcefball feam and fhis spring proved a proficienf backsfop behind fhe plafe. Gus's deparfure will leave a cerfain feeling of empfiness fhaf will never again be quife filled, especially for fhose who have lived wifh him in fhe Dormifory. SPRINGFIELD

Myles F. Herberf Glee Club 63 Review 4, 5, 67 Soccer J. V. 65 Fencing Var- sify 5, 6, J. v. 4. Myles is fhis year's candidafe for fhe liffle genius award. Every year has ifs liffle genius as an exulfanf succession of yearbooks will fesfify. This sorf of fhing, however, seemed banal even amidsf fhe enfhusiasfic banalifies of a yearbook. Brillianf made us fhink of lampy eyes and Walf Disney: impish was foo cufeg and, well, fo be safe, we seffled on infelligenf, uncomforfable in- felligenf. As if being Huncomforfably infelligenf were nof enough, Myies is a finished, fhough neu- rofic, fencer lhe fhrows fhingsl and a wif whose humor franscends more words and conveys ifself in fhe form of noises, plainfive, whimsical, glee- fully freble - - abdominal noises, gurgling moisfly. For fear fhis impish, gurgling Myles may seem foo precious for comforf, we musf add fhaf l1e is nof fhe liffle bundle of scinfillafions of firsf ncquainfance. He is more subsfanfial fhan a flame. PRINCETON James Colgafe Jerome Dormifory Council bi Relief Sociefy 6: Dormifory Relief So- ciefy 4, 5, 6: Soccer Varsify 6, J. V. 5: Baskefball Varsify 6, J. V. 4, 51 Baseball Varsify 5, 6, J. V. 4. J. C. during his years af Riverdale has been one of fhe mosf likable fellows in fhe school. He has made friends nof only amongsf his own classmafes buf also wifh many of fhe smaller boys. ln fhe field of afhlefics J. C. has accomplished a greaf deal. ln addifion fo sfarring on fhe baskefbali feam, he held down second base on fhe ball club and was a key man on fhe soccer feam. J. C. is one of fhose fellows whose presence makes any group more enjoyable and successful. A golfer of no mean abilify, he is invincible in any verbal en- counfer concerning fhe fine poinfs of fhe divof- digging pasfime. J. C. is going fo Colgafe Uni- versify nexf year and wifh him goes Riverdale's besf wishes for his furfher success. COLG-ATE
