We've got active and inactive people. People whisper- ing, smiling, laughing, sneering, reflecting, doubting, pondering ... people doing nothing, saying nothing ... people just being people. Fun and No Fun Fun is participating in school activities ... enjoying lunch with a friend in the cafeteria ... rais- ing a cheer for the team ... taking a nap on school time. No fun is writing a research paper! 1ft 7 This Year We . . . ... enjoyed the variety of an out- door pep rally ... watched for the completion of our field and all- weather track____proudly dis- played new band uniforms ... blazed a roaring bonfire ... added several new typewriters to room 109 ... sold candy ... 9 and We u Memories are material things to be felt in the same perspective as when they were realities ... those crowded hallways between classes ... assemblies ... the big game ... parades... and moments of seclusion which constitute happy times. Let’s Hear It for Rivercrest High Excelling is a personal asset made fruitful in athletics only when the ability to work as a group is com- bined with it. Both qualities are displayed ... in a touchdown pass ... in struggling for the extra points_in passing the basketball down the court ... in moving the ball in and up for two. Personal excellence and teamwork, charac- teristic of athletes around RHS, make our teams stand tall in the winner's circle. COACHING STAFF The 1971-72 Rivercrest Rebel foot- ball team, through endless work and perseverance, broke all pre- vious Rebel records. Through the football program the Rebels not only gained football victories, but also developed true winning qualities and the desire to succeed at whatever they undertake in life. Pleasant, their fans could take pride in the fact that this was the first Rebel bas- ketball team to win the district title.
