Vox Fluminis Then there is Joan who from Port Arthur hails. At acrobats, she never fails, Violin- 'ballet and still keeps sweet. When does this girl east and sleep. Now this is Norma, the best of us all, Loves Chien Yu lipstick and is considered tall. Is a 'good sport and liked by all. This is Norma Gray. Phil and her theme songs, o'h so many. But a certain Jerry's seem to be better than any, Her ambition to be a nurse is strong And we know 'that she'll get there -before lonig. This is Phyllis Huston. Balbs is a cheerful girl, Always happy in a whirl. Playing the piano Sis her delight, In this she indulges day and night fjokej This is Barbara Champ. Here's a girl who is very fair, Brown of eyes and blonde of hair. We all envy her marks in school, Always happy is her rule. This is Peggy Dolmage. Diane, who in the Blue Room keeps The noisier :girls quiet when they speak. Long black lbraids are what she possesses And in her life, she'll have many successes. This is Diane Redford. Ffull of life and vigour is Anne, And seems to make as much noise as she can But outside of this, it may be said fby all That Anne Campbell is the best of us all. Janie Park, our red-headed lass, Is known ini school for topping her class. At skipping and playing, her time does pass. That's all for our little lass. Then there is Rilla With that figure so neat With personality plus, We would like you to meet Rilla Reid. Then we have Amy, an average girl, At cart-wheels, she does take her wihirl. Her favorite pastime is knit plain and -purl This is Amy Canmpfbell. Also there is Barbara whose nightly chore, We hope is to clean out her dresser drawers. Her legs are all to us an envy And when the brealdfast bell rings, she's in a frenzy This is Barbara Lennox. Dorothy, and this we hate to tell, Is the only one in boarding who doesn't yell. We all think that she is swell And would make a perfect pal. This is Dorothy Jackson. Carolyn sits quiet all the day And never has very much to say, Of Peter Lamford, she is a great fan, And considers him quite her dream man. This is 'Carolyn Elliott. P' ,P Teachers, Autographs

Bev: Five feet one and a half inches of sunshine. Mary Mac.: Is this a needle I see before? Marion A.: 'Three Cheers for the Irishf' Jean: Calamity Jean. Joddy: It's a bird: it's a plane . . . it's Joddy. Joan: Her eyes are like stars . . . they come out at night. Eileen: Call me in the morning please. Phyllis: Breakfast: tweed coat and coffee. When we come back to see our daughters at Riverbend '???'? years from now, will life in the Red House still be the same as ours was this year? We are wondering if the iron will still not work, if the bathtub tap will still belch, and if the stairs will still squeak, especially when ascending or des- cending by dawn's early light? Will somebody still be taking their medicine on crackers, and will Sir James continue to rule on in his unassuming way? And yes, we'd hate to think of boarding without the bathroom battles and the alarm clock agitation. Will Alex, we wonder, still be fixing the fires in the morning, or will Alex's son have invented a device to provide hot water morning, noon, and night! If life in the future remains unchanged here, then we're almost certain to hear those H20 pleas XJINY Ngsfg foes guy and 'Wd W from the third floor. And of course there would be without exception musical powder boxes, cuddly dolls, dogs, clowns, pan-das, ralbbits and shamrocks. And your guess is as good as ours as to whether pocket book novels will continue to be passed around. Will kids then, be cutting bangs, losing wallets, forgetting laundry lbags, forgetting diets after lights outn, and forgetting that lights in closets can be seen from the street! Will our daughters supply t'he soap for everyone else, like we think we did, and will they, too, be the stooges to supply the entire house with toothpaste? Will those boarders, we wonder, be tidier than now, or will those all-fiamiliar J.Rf' notes be postedi in their usual conspicuous places instead. But above all we wonder if those boarders of the future will have a Mother in charge of them, as forgiving, under- standing, and generous as Mrs. Reid, For, with all credit due to Mrs. Reid, this past year has been a terrif. one as far as the boarders of the Red House are concerned, and as a result we'll never forget or regret it.
