MUSIC The music department offers a wide variety of channels through which musical experience and growth can be achieved. Although the program is built essentially on the performance aspect, it is also our goal to produce artistically alert, intelligently critical, well-rounded musicians - people who will enjoy throughout their life in an ever-advancing way the art of music. In addition to solo work and numerous small ensembles, the formal groups in the music department are these: A Band, B. Band, Mixed Chorus and Girls' Glee Club. PHYSICAL EDUCATION To work hard and play well you need a strong healthy body and an eager vigorous mind. Physical Education aims to keep you physically healthy and mentally alert. The vigorous physical activity will release tensions and erase irritations. Learning to play together helps people learn to live together. The competition involved in our space age requires endurance of body and mind. Constant attention to our health practices will increase the efficiency of body and mind. Proper exercise done regularly each day results in increased efficiency in all parts of your body. When you get the exercise you need, you look and feel better and can work better. A constant program of physical improvement contributes to your health and well being and makes you a better member of life's society.
