M .,,f 4? F' Out of This World, a three-act comedy, was presented by the junior class on April 11, 1958, in the school auditorium. This play, directed by Mrs. Wilma Culbertson and Mrs. Doris Boger, concerned a slightly eccentric bachelor, Otis Kerby, and his niece, Linda, who lives with him. Linda is too full of ideas and most of her brain storms bring trouble in one form or another. But through a series of hilarious events she brings everything under control again. Early in September, 1947, we began a new experience in life as we started our first year of school. There were fourteen boys and thirteen girls in the class, but six of these were slow second graders who later caught up with their class. The next year Jerry Reamsnyder and John I-Ierrod joined the class, while Pat Fsterline moved to Marion. Practically the same number were in the class for the next four years. Those who came and went during that time were: Carolyn Maddison, Beverly Harris, Elaine Wright, Louise Smith, Billy Bensley and Derry Bayles. When the seventh grade began, we felt more grown up. We had to give up our recesses, but we man- aged to get along. We also got several new students. They were: Bonnie Handschug, Erma Clark, Phyllis Kile, Kathy Haldeman and Pat Esterline retumed. In the Ninth Grade we felt more on our own, since we had to change classes and select subjects. Derry Bayles returned to the class from Marion. During the next year, two of our students dropped out and Joan Mason moved to Califomia in her Junior Year. Bob Agnes joined us. This year was one of the wildest and most enjoyable we had ever had. What with money making ideas, the class play, the Scot, and the prom, it was a wonder we ever learned anything. The class had a good time, though. John Benge left at the end of this year to go to Marion. At last, the year we had been waiting for arrived. We were Seniors! It didn't feel any different to be seniors, but everyone was glad that it was our last year. Now there were only eighteen of us and Bob Aglles dropped out before the year was over, leaving only seventeen in the class. Now that the year is over, we are both glad and sad that it has ended. We know that the best years of our lives so far, have been at school and that we may never all be together again, but we are look- ing forward to what the years of the future will bring to us. Ronald Lyon 25 We, the Class of 1959, being not of sound mind and without memory of our bad deeds, hereby will our various worthless possessions and all the torture equipment thereunto belonging to us to the enfeebled intellects of our successors, to be held by them or thrown away as they wish. ARTICLE I We, the Class of '59, do hereby replace a pain in the neck, which has been hurting the faculty for the past four years, for a pain in their hearts at the thought of our leaving. ARTICLE ll To our beloved underclassmen, we leave the ability to never crack a book, take a test, and flunk it as well as our ability to argue and never accomplish anything at our class meetings. ARTICLE IH We, the Seniors, do hereby one by one now will his most prized possession or desire. l, Glenda Hipsher, will my driving ability, to anyone who has liability insurance.
