The Marching Band 'presented six band shows at seven football games. The Concert Band presented a Christmas sing for the student body which included c dramatized version of the Night Before Christmas. The Spring Concert will be remembered by the magical tunes and melodies of the King and I, the story of a Carnival Day in New Orleans, the Latin American Rhythums of the Pan American Overture as well as several overtures of note. To get an 'R' the girls have to earn 750 points, for a pin they earn 1,500 and for their 'R' emblem with 3 bars they need 2,000 points. But the minimum requirement to be in the Club is only 200 points and the girls get 25 points for every game they play. In order to earn the above points the girls could participate in any of these activities: Field ball, soccer volley ball and tennis. Also they went skating, swimming, and horse back riding. A good example ofa typical sea san, is the spring sports consisting of bowling on Tuesday and Thursday, playing baseball on Monday, and Wednesday after school. Two teacher sponsors are chosen from the faculty and another faculty member is chosen by the principal. This group of students vote on issues presented to them by the council and also discuss issues brought up by their various homerooms. Different committees of members are set up to take charge of the selling of pictures, a clean-up campaign, the record library, which is used by the various clubs for Juke box dance and also the plans of the Homecoming game.
