Selection into the National Junior Honor Society is an honor accorded by the faculty and a cumulative scholastic average of 90 or above E by the members elected. This year the NJHS designed a bulletin board to display various career opportunities. They cleaned the teachers, blackboards two or three times dur- ing the year as a service project. They donated a turkey to a needy family during Thanksgiv- ing. The club's one fund raiser this year was the sale of River Road notebooks. They ended the - year with a bowling party. Members are selected by a council consisting of the prin- cipal and four or more faculty members. Qualifications are bas- ed on a grade average of 90 or above and outstanding qualities of leadership, service and character. The members held several fund raisers and bought Thanksgiving turkeys for needy families. The climax of the year was the annual spring banquet held to honor and induct new members. FTA has seven members this year. They had one fund raiser for a scholarship to be given to an FTA student. Members also worked as aides for teachers at Rolling Hills and Willow Vista Elementary Schools.
