The Student Council's fund raising activities for 1986-87 included sponsoring the Homecoming Dance and selling flowers for Homecoming. The Student Council was instrumental in providing picnic tables for the courtyard and for maintaining it for the students during the semester. The Student Council would like to thank Mr. Manuel Hernandez for the work and material he gave to improve the parking lot on the southwest side of the high school. CREED CHANGE MADE AT NATIONAL MEETING: The proposed creed change was adopted during the 1986 national leadership meeting. The new creed reads: We are the Future Homemakers of America. The state project committee chose five projects for this 1986-1987 school year: Students Against Drunk Driving ISADDI, Adopt-A- Highway, Feeding Hungry Americans, Student Body, and Families and Futures. FHA worked on as many state projects as possible this year.
