Week misses goal Charity Week, sponsored by the River Forest Student Council, fell short of their monetary goal this year. Only $88.00 was earned. During the week of events, March 29 through April 2, class jesters donated their services for a small fee. Services, included sitting in wastebaskets, kissing teachers and roosting on various filing cabinets. Five jesters were selected from underclassmen only this year. Junior high students also partici- pated. Every day the jester dressed in a different costume to solicit money for charity. Hat day honors, which was a part of the week ' s agenda, went to Lavatta Martin, freshman. Loyce Welton, junior, collected the most money in the high school and Dan Waldrop collected the most for the junior high. Climaxing the week was a dance in the high school gym during which the Poppy, a rock group from the Odysey Media of Chicago, performed. Money earned from Charity week was donated to the St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Montana. Right— Modeling Barb Mills ' hat, Joe Wojnarski, junior, kicks the habit on Hat Day.
