River Forest counselors hold camp RF ' s Camp Counseling class, offered to juniors, culminated a year ' s preparation when they held spring camp at the Indiana Dunes State Park for sixth grade pupils in Hobart Township. Two separate camp sessions were conducted on May 11-14, and May 18-21. Both sessions included four days of outdoor cooking, nature study, hikes, cabin competition, awards and the final campfire. Each cabin contained either two or three counselors and carried a name to express the camp ' s theme Camp Creature Features. In the Bloody Mama ' s cabin were Diane Lamb, Diane Mayfied and Susan Thorman. The She Devil ' s contained camp coun- selors Susie Tabla, Brenda Tenorio and LoyceWelton. Souls of the Dead counselors were Linda Brewer, Brenda House and Debbie O ' Conner, and in the Vault of the Victorious Victims were Gail Daugherty, Juliette Shakula and Betty Van Fleet. Dracula ' s Bloodsuckers saw Joe Dejanovic, Ishmael De Jesus and Joe Wojnarski in the coun- seling position, and Dave Burns and Bruce Hilliard entitled their cabin Hideous Hands. Pleasant Dreams was the title of Dennis Mioduski, Doug Patton and Mike Ragon ' s cabin, and Tor- ture Chamber was the theme of Rich Jennings and Mike Petruska ' s cabin. Four students assumed cooking duties for each session. Henriette Buehler, Pat Markle, Rich Cham- berlian and Dale Morris prepared food for the first session, while Jim Chandler, Rick Holsombeck, Donna Hooper and Michelle Kor- bar finished the second session. Mrs. Mary Broda served as the head cook for both sessions. Miss Joanne Schafer of the RF ' s women ' s physical education department directed camp activities. 20

delights RF audiences David Merrick ' s Broadway pro- duction Don ' t Drink the Water, was produced at RF as the annual spring play. The action of the play takes place in an American Embassy somewhere behind the Iron Cu rtain. Cast members, directed by Mr. Thomas Hontz, consisted of Jim Mullins, Bill Moreland, Ron Tol- liver, Dave Burns, Bruce Hilliard, Mona Davis, Sharon Ondo, Mike Petruska, Tony Krysak, David Hayes and Paul Karas. Also, Rudy Blanco, Paula Bian- co, Dixon Tabla, Debbie O ' Con- nor, Jeff Kaiser, Jean Series, Lyna- na Stangbeye, Sheila Glovier, Loyce Welton and Joyce Michna. Two evening performances were given on the stage of the high school auditorium. The stage set production crew was headed by shop teacher Mr. Tom Szymczak. Following the weekend performances, two matinee perfor- mances were presented to the junior and senior high school stu- dent body. Students were per- mitted to attend one of the per- formances instead of their scheduled classes. Below— Mrs. Hollander, (Mona Davis), expresses a worried concern over their foiled attempt to escape.
