ln his Z9 years as principal of Ritenour lligh School, Mr. O. W. Cfostilow has made an outstanding record in good school administration and in building a sound curriculum. Mr. Costilow obtained his BS. Degree from Denison University in Granville. Ohio, and his Masters Degree from the University of Illinois. lle has done graduate work beyond his Master's at Wttsliington University, University of Missouri, and at Colorado State College of Education. A new addition to the principals staff this year is Miss Georgia Tripp, a 1955 graduate of Ritenour Senior High. Wliile in school, Georgia, .. who was elected to the National Honor Society, E -,,,s .. was an active member of the Melaureus staff .tw where she served as business manager. She Jw., is played on the class hockey and basketball teams , ,'S-if 25 has 4 gs' and was a member of the R.G.A.A. ' 0 SECRETARIES MISS ELLEN GREER, Secretary to the Principal: Easily said, but what a job! Every time those ghastly report cards are issued, Ellen makes an aver- age of 35,000 entries. Ellen also keeps the attendance records. Anyone who has been in the office before school has seen her busily distributing ink over a rapidly diminishing pile of blue slips. Turning a keen eye on excuses, she often has a terrific seventh hour. Ellen spends much of her time keeping students away from her typewriter. She fears they will get the machine into the habit of misspelling words, and vows that many in the past have developed this tendency. Since Ellen is so easy to find, she is often asked for advice. Her suggestions are not always what the students wish to hear, but they are always truthful and usually correct.
