-9 W-. .W . Y 1 . Q., .pn l I2 Q3 4 C A CD It is our privilege, the Annual Staff, to dedicate the 1952 edition of the uRising Hin, to our Coach, Mr. Alton CBudl Gladieux. Our Coach, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a graduate of Toledo University. While attending Toledo University, Coach was very active in football and basketball. After graduating from college, he taught at Payne Ohio. He then came to Risingsun in 1948 to teach Social Sciences and Phy- sical Education. He has done a wonderful job in Risfngsun, never tiring of being asked to do different tasks, or to help further our school in its activities. During his four years here, he has gained the admiration and friendship of all the students and fellow teachers. Coach has worked unceasingly with the boys and girls, giving them freely, without hesitation, all of his spare time. We, without limitation, feel that our Coach has well earned any honors that is bestowed upon him, and we, the Annual Staff desire to take this opportunity to wish him good luck, and my he spend many more happy years with us here, at nRising Hin. .A-a ,

But the most important task for all of us to undertake is our fight for freedom. The freedom that every man, woman, and child is striving to hold. Our freedom of speech--to say what we wish to say, our freedom of religion--to attend the church of our choice. These are only two and that examples of the freedom we are striving to retain are imperative if our democracy is to survive. - 1 I, as Editor of this annual, The nRising Hin wish to ex- press my thanks to the annual staff, to the faculty, fellow students, merchants, and everyone else who has helped to make the 1952 edition of the year book a success.
