SENIOR HISTORY The eager faces of 32 Freshmen students peeked around the doors and into the halls of Ririe High School, Aug. 28, 1948. Their annual dance carried out the theme, Turkey in the Straw, and was very successful. They survived the initia- tion and enioyed parties supervised by Advisor, Coach Bailey. A little wiser and better prepared, the class as Sophomores elected their of- ficers and planned for a more successful year. Their assembly and dance were successfully carried out Nov. 18, 1949. The decorations portrayed the theme, Old Master Painter. The Junior year was supervised by Mr. Nield, and almost at once the class started on their Junior Prom which dawned March 17, 1950. The theme was Tennessee Waltz. 'Plans were started for plays and an assembly but in spite of all efforts, failed to come through. With Mr. Teuscher as the Advisor, the Senior year was the actual reign of the class. Everyone pitched in and the Senior Ball was planned, Silver Bells the theme. The Senior play went off with a bang. The money they made on this and the Carnival dance plus the meager funds in their treasury, they wholeheartedly devoted to the yearbook. Each will go his own way but none will forget Dear Old Ririe High, with its spirit of fairness, advantage, and equality.
