Under the adept leadership of Student Body President Marvin Veneman and Advisor Ernest Poletti, the Student Government com- pleted another successful year. After Marvin's nomination he appointed his cabinet and his court, and got right down to business. Congressmen were elected from each class and added to the betterment of the school by passing laws and helping to enforce them. The Supreme Court took care of all infractions of the laws of the school and tried all such cases. Bottom row, left to right: Robert Vasconscellos, Larry Cline, Arline Ostini, Antoinette Betschart, Arlouyn Fredriks, Eileen Fredriks, Loris Bringelson, Joellen Franzia, Kathleen Mulholand, Vicki Franscella, Marshall Lehr, Mr. Poletti, Advisor. Young people of high school age in America are privileged to attend tax- supported or free public schools. lt can be assumed that students able to attend these institutions of learning realize that they owe a debt to society and are, therefore, obligated to demonstrate by their accomplishments that they appreciate this public support. The recent favorable vote on the bonds for new buildings at Ripon High School indicates that the community has faith in its young people, and I am sure that the students of Ripon High justify that faith. Congratulations to theeditor, his staff, the advisor of this 1956 '6lVlission, and to the senior class for their participation in all phases of a successful four years of endeavor. V OTIS M. KINGERY Principal
