For our 'lirs+ performance - our Freshman year - we had Shirley Turnbeaugh and Frank Jacklich as our seme-s+er presiclenls. Also during +ha+ vear, Marlene Blackman ancl Frank Jacklich were our canclidales for carnival king and queen. One of Ihe main lealures of Ihe year was fhe sfale- wicle invifalional debale 'lournamenf held annually af Ripon. This was a very big iob for us newcomers, bul we all pifchecl in willingly and Ihe cafeleria was a huge success. SENIOR NOTES CLASS OF '5 Our firsf pariy in our sophomore year was a skar- ing parly. We also invi+ed Ihe freshman class. II' was a big success wiih Ihe Iiacully having as much, if no+ more, fun as Ihe sI'uc'len'Is. We also gave a dance 'Iha+ yearg buf since we forgo? Io gel a clean-up commillee, we had Io 'forfeif all o'rher pariies for 'Ihe year. The semesier presiden+s for our junior year were Bill Vander Laan and Dwighl Nyquist In order Io raise money for 'Ihe Junior-Senior Prom which we had Io give, we pui on a ho+ lunch consis+- ing of spagheffi, French bread, and hom' chocolafe. This fype of lunch proved Io be very popular wi+h fhe s'I'uden+s. The hoI lunch and a dance affer Ripon - Linden foof- ball game were our chief money malrers for 'I'he year.
