Thaf momenl when we firsf enlered Ripon l-ligh we were looking forward fo fhe day when we would be high and mighfy seniors-fo look down on all incoming freshmen. Now rhaf we are seniors and preparing for graduafion, we look back fo fhe old days when we were freshmen and recall The good 'limes we had befween fhen and now. Some of us remember fhe parfies our class has held, some remember fheir years in sporfs, and yef ofhers look back af 'rhe school dances held by fhe sfudenf body and olher organizafions. ln our freshman year of high school we donafed enferfainmenf 'ro fhe sfudenfs by accepfing our inifiafion wifh good nalure. The following year we were given fhe pleasure of guiding fhe new freshmen in 'rheir day of misery. Our iunior year was fhe mosf excifing year for all of us. Firsf we sfarled fo raise money for 'rhe Prom. In so doing we had a lol' of fun giving dances and holding coke sales. We raised enough money 'ro give a wonderful Prom for fhe seniors which every one enjoyed immensely. Then came our lasf year . . . we were seniors! Our whole senior year was excifing. Some of fhe main bills considered during fhe year included 'the parking plan, a ban on girls wearing boys' alfhefic sweafers, and fhe legal boun- daries in 'rhe gym. A Four congressmen affended fhe Fall and Spring Junior Sfafesmen Convenfions, and several congress- men affended fhe Regional Convenfions. Under fhe leadership of Chief Jusfice Bud Pichef- fo, fhe Supreme Courf also enioyed a successful year of acfivify. Chief Jusfice Picheffo, and Associafe Jusfices Frances Silva, Eugene lvlenshew, Orvan Roome, and Audrey Snodgrass dealf wifh each case wifh fairness and dispafch. There were numerous crimes commifled during fhe firsf few monfhs of fhe year, buf as fhe season progressed fhe crime wave dwindled down fo nofhing. ArTicles were wriTTen, Then re-wriTTen. PicTures were Taken. Then re-Taken. Everyone was busy in The prep- araTion oT The annual ThaT we hoped would be bigger and beTTer Than ever. lT was work. There is no deny- ing ThaT. ProoTreaders were burdened wiTh many arTicles To be correcTed. Deadlines had To be meT. AdverTisemenTs had To be secured, and candid shoTs snapped. For fhe mosl pari, however, ihe course of evenis followed was ihe same as in pre- vious years. The Annual Backward Pariy, held in December, was a huge success. The League held many success- ful and proiiiable sales and cake raiiles ihroughouf ihe year. The girls were given 25 G.A.A. poinls 'lor Jrhe lirsl game +hey played, and five poinls for every addilional game. To be a good badminlon player one musl be alerl and quiclc. We had some oulslanding performers in 'rhis sporl. Soccer is a lavorile sporl' among lhelboys. Soccer is a Fasl moving game which keeps 'lhe boys on 'rheir ioes all The lime.
