What e Thanles for gf-LJDI! n I, 'Lef's FAREWELL For the Senior class of I938, another epoch in the search for education is closed. Some of us may continue our search, others may have reached their goal. Ripon High School, its board of trustees, the parents and friends which it represents, and our faculty have all given us of their best and we hope that they may continue to help those of our schoolmates who remain, as they have helped us, in our preparation for the future. We leave Ripon High School with higher aims and ideals, a broader education, and a higher conception of life than when we entered. We leave behind us many friends-teachers, classmates, and all those who have been with us during the past several years. And yet, may we long cherish the fond recollec- tions and memories which we shall carry with usl The old Spanish Mission with its warmth of greeting, the resounding bells, the never completely silent class rooms, the basketball court with its stellar players, the football turf, the re-echoing cheers of rooters, the activity periods, the enjoyable programs, the noon hours, and the many other innumerable memories-these we shall not soon forget. As a record of the i937-38 school year and as a token of remembrance, the Senior class leaves behind it another volume of the Mission. The class as well as the Mission Staff has enjoyed its publication. To Mr. Julien, the adviser in the publication of our annual, we owe much. He has patiently and carefully helped us along, and his helpfulness is greatly appreciated. Throughout the preceding pages we have been attempting to carry out the theme of music. The important part which music plays in our high school education deserves careful attention. Many of the graduating seniors are carrying with them an appreciation for, and a knowledge of, music, which they have attained in Ripon High and which they will not soon lose. To our school- mates who are yet to graduate, we leave the wish that they also may learn to appreciate this art as do we who are graduating. ln bidding farewell, therefore, we ask of the school, the teachers, our school- mates and friends, that we also may not be too quickly forgotten.
