Green in its greenest sense was the only describable word for them. All during ihe orientaiion period fun and games were supplied by upperclassmen who had gone through ihe same hell in previous years. It was a great opportunity to meet fellow class mem- bers, in the oddest places, sliding in the mud, passing oranges or life savers with a stick held firmly in ones mouth, and in some elephant game purposely devised for embarrassment. The day at Lawsonia was beautiful and relaxing, after which dinner was served on Great Hall Lawn pic- nic style. That's the way it was, when many freshmen spent their first days away from home enjoying campus life, but all they had to do was wail for real college life in the weeks to come. 20 21 22 Occasion: Social Eveni of ihe Season Place: Merriman Lawn Eveni: Corn Roast Refreshments: Kegs of Beer and buttered corn on the cob Entertainment: Good friends and music out of second story window 23 24 27 28 29 31 32 33 35 36 V 38 KM 39 40 41 42 43 46 Mil I Am Going!!!
