MR.M.VANV'UREN TI-IE PRINCIPAL SAYS: To the Class of '52: Education is essentially a discipline because life itself in essence is such. I mean, education is primarily a matter of seeking to conform ourselves to certain definite standards. Education in general today is losing the disciplinary char- acter because standards Of truth and morality are breaking down. Your school training has been a special one. It is designated CHRISTIAN. When We say CHRISTIAN We have something very definite in mind in the Way of standards. These are found in the Word of God. They are high and exacting. We find them in these words: Be ye perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect. To seek to be controlled in our thinking, in our feeling, in our willing by the principles of God's Word should be the aim of the Christian student. May you cherish this type of training which your parents sought to give you through the medium also of Ripon Christian High. We trust that you have caught something of the challenge and meaning of life as an adjustment to the demands of a holy God. May you continue this educative process throughout your whole life. The World desperately needs graduates disciplined in mind and heart to give leader- ship in a bewildered World. Congratulations, Class of '52l Our prayers and best wishes go with you.
