Luther Sanders, Back Harry Brown, Back Jimmy Holloway, Guard Hugh Lewis Brown, Guard RIPLEY 20-MILLINGTON 2 Riple started the 1950 season by defeating Millington in a drencliing rain. The backs received nice blocking and did fine running. RIPLEY 20-HUMBOLDT 40 Ripley probably played the best game of the season against Humboldt, but they were outclassed by the Rams. RIPLEY 34'-COVINGTON 13 The Tigers won their first conference game, with touchdowns by Rose, Harry Brown, Owen, and Haynes. Wakefield kicked three extra points for Ripley. RIPLEY 14.-DYERSBURG 16 This much discussed game included a safety made by the Tro- jans as a result of a punt which rolled out of bounds on Rip- ley's four yard line. RIPLEY 6-UNION CITY 0 Ripley scored its only touchdown on a long pass from Johnny Rose to Billy Martin. Union City threatened in the last quar- ter, but the Tigers held them. RIPLEY 0-TRENTON 13 In this tough game of penalties, the Tigers lost to a well or- ganized Peabody High team.
