Ten Dedicated Years Every Riordan man knows Brother Frank Lahey, S.M. Every Riordan man knows his work as treasurer. But, engraved on a desk pen set in his office, ten years of dedicated service to the Riordan Dads' Club recalls years of achievements. ln 1951, succeeding Brother john McCluskey, S.M. then principal of Riordan, as moderator of the Dads' Club, Brother Lahey opened a new frontier of activities which augmented a much needed financial assistance and equipment for a school just begun. During the past ten years, Brother Lahey worked with seven presidents, each energetic in his responsibilities. Following Mr. jack 1. Doyle, Riordan Dads' Club first president, were Mr. Victor Bacigalupe, Mr. john Flaherty, Dr. Edward Grif- fin, Mr. Ralph Applebee, Mr. Raymond Milani, Mr. Paul Ahern, and Mr. Robert Joyce. Ten years of varied activities saw a growing school band equipped with instru- ments and uniforms, a grand piano and electric organ installed in the auditorium, bleachers erected on the football and baseball fields, the track renovated, the utility building constructed, station wagons added to the automotive department. These con- stitute a partial list of the Dads' Club accomplishments under the leadership of Brother Lahey. With the increasing demands made on his office, it was decided by the super- iors that Brother Frank Lahey's duties be lessened. We, the members of the Riordan family, congratulate you, Brother Lahey, for your ten years of devoted activity to the Riordan'Dads' Club. Mr. Robert Joyce fLeftj, President of the Dads' Club, and Mr. Paul Ahearn, past president, present gifts to Bro Frank Lahey for his ten years as moderator. Also present is Bro. Herman Gerber, principal, and moderator of the club.
