However, the Crusaders are defending champions and have the desire to bring the sixth straight championship back for another year. Coach Fennelly's squad is led by Mike Mullany and Den Leahy. They are the most consistent point getters on the team. Den has not been beaten in the shot put yet while Mike has been beaten but once in the mile. The sprinters are led by Bob Fennell, Ron Macaluso, and Gary Thiebaut. Top 440 men are Tim Applebee and Richard Thelen, John Kenny, Tom Pear- son, Rich Thall, and Wally Coughlin are the top middle distance men. The hurdlers are led by Tom Burns, Richard Dixon, and Rich Kennealy. Tim Moffett is the top broad Iumper with Bob Spalasso at a close second. Rich- ard Kennealy and Jerry Marron led the Crusaders in the pole vault. John Galten has been the most consistent high iumper. Rich Selmi, Bill Baker Den Beyma and Larry Baldridge are the leading discus throwers. lf Riordan is to bring home the championship, it rests in the hands of these Crusaders.
