Each has made his contribution to Riordan. Alemany inaugurated the Catholic school system that was to culminate for us in Riordan High School. Our second Archbishop gave us our name, a name we are justly proud to bear. Under Archbishop Hanna the idea of another diocesan high school for boys was first tentatively broached. Their plans for our Future have been realized. Brother John McCluslcey, S,M, FGTJOSY Jdmes N . Congratulations to the Senior Class For making this initial adventure into the realm of yearbook production so successful. I am happy that Riordan's first yearbook is dedicated to the late Bishop O'Dowd. It thus pays some small tribute to the man who was Superintendent of Schools during the major part of the construction and who was largely respon- sible --under Archbishop Mitty -- for making Riordan the beautiful and complete high school it is.
