QP ff' l Q 6146551071 Each year the students of Rio Vista Joint Union High School have dedicated the NETHERLANDS either to some idea worthy of their admira- tion or to an individual who has been outstanding in contrilruting to the i progress of our school. We know one person under whose guidance our school has made out- standing progress in many ways. Une of the many achievements for which he has worked untiringly is the improvement of our heautiful footlmall field of which the entire community is proud. Under his direction, plans are being formulated for new school buildings and grounds which will he com- standing of our school. His office door is usually open. He is advisor and friend to all of the students and has earned their respect and loyalty. For these reasons and also because he is our friend and we wish him to know our appreciation, we proudly dedicate the l95l NETHERLANDS to Charles R. Hale. You have made new friends, friends who will last through your lives. School friends and experiences with school friends are the happy memories you will keep. In later years through the pages of the 1951 NETHERLANDS, you will recall with warmth your Our l95l Netherlands staff has planned and worked many hours on this an nual, and their efforts are exemplified in an excellent publication. To the members of the class of l95l I find it most difficult to wish suc cess in your chosen fields. Your parents, school board, and faculty have watched you and encouraged you in your ambitions, but, in your troubled age, ambitions and dreams of the future may seem dim. But I cannot help but be- lieve that the greatness that is part of the American people is instilled in each of you, and that by retaining faith in your country and yourselves you will reach your goal.
