Under his direction, plans are being formulated for new school buildings and grounds which will he com- standing of our school. His office door is usually open. You have made new friends, friends who will last through your lives. School friends and experiences with school friends are the happy memories you will keep. In later years through the pages of the 1951 NETHERLANDS, you will recall with warmth your Our l95l Netherlands staff has planned and worked many hours on this an nual, and their efforts are exemplified in an excellent publication. To the members of the class of l95l I find it most difficult to wish suc cess in your chosen fields. Your parents, school board, and faculty have watched you and encouraged you in your ambitions, but, in your troubled age, ambitions and dreams of the future may seem dim. But I cannot help but be- lieve that the greatness that is part of the American people is instilled in each of you, and that by retaining faith in your country and yourselves you will reach your goal. On behalf of your Board of Trustees, the administrative staff, and the faculty, may I wish each of you success and good luck. again we bave gone to press vvrtb tbe an atternpt to Xeave a tangrbte nd ptav . The new furniture for the girlsl room was in place the first day of school and has added greatly to the usefulness and comfort of the room. The League also sponsored the school CAR- NIVAL which we hope will become a tradition. As we go to press plans are being made for some Career Day talks for the girls. As usual our cake raffles were hilarious successes. Our annual dance followed the Benicia game. The theme was George Washington's birthday, complete with big red cher- ries and badly nicked hatchets.
