E lllll Ill Y 7 IIRST HITCH SECOND HITCH Pferzdent M HURON Presldeut N SHERMAN Vlre Pferzdent J PLREZ Vice Pierzdefzt J BRADFORD Sleuttvy Tfearurer N DANA Serfelary Tfeafmev I HENINGTON Iieplereulalzre J SOUZA Reprefenfalue F KOFOD Seventy nine timid boys and girls stood around the hall of Rio Vista High School on the 10th of September 1946 These were the members of the class of 50 They were soon rushed into all the activities including initiation That ts a day that none of us will forget The girls had to wear jeans backwards pigtails mens shoes shirts backwards and carry dtshpans The boys were decked out rn women s dresses hose make up shoes and hats That night the Sopho more cltss honored us with the Ireshman Reception The gym was decorated with huge paper 1lld1y suckers November 15 we gave the traditional I'r0sh Return Dance The oflicers for the year were President Dtck Montgomery Vice President Florence Kofod Secretary Treasurer erry Wright Representative Jeanette Henmgton Our Sophomore year started off with a big bang The initiation and dance was a big success After this came the job of picking out our junior rings Finally after a long discussion we decided on two different rings To guide us thru the year we had Presrd nt Irung Blackwelder Secretary Treasurer erry Wriglit Vice President Nathan Sherman Repre entatrve Leonard Avila Wlmen it came time for the traditional unior Prom the class of 50 turned the clock btclt to the Arabian Nights period The gym was decorated in swaying palm trees large camels elephants and dancing girls The uniors were very proud of their Prom We also had the pleasure of entertaining the Seniors at the Bridge Marina for the annual unior Senior Banquet The evening was spent rn singing and dancing President Leonard Avila ran the untor class with the help of Vice President Bob Porto Stcrctftry Treasurer Florence Kofod and Representative Woodle Galley for the first semester The group of officers for the second semester we e President Woodie Galley Vice President Don ald Gomez Secretary Treasurer Norma Easton Representative Rico Gcmrgmni The class of 50 broke a tradition by giving a Hobo Dance instead of the Senior Ball The dance vsas really a big success, An arousing vsestern play Desperate Ambrose was enjoyed by all. President Mike Huron managed the Seniors with his capable helpers Vice-President ulian Perez' Secretary- Treasurer Naydne Dana' and Representative lm Souza.
