Girls' State Alternates Alternates are, from Left to Right: Peggy Sieglitz, Judith Smith, Linda Brewer, John- nie Arvin, Gloria Anaya, and Ruth Pacheco. iris' State To become a delegate to eithe Boys' State or Girls' State is on ot the greatest honors one can at tain while attending Rio Grande Each spring at the annual assem bly, 14 iuniors, seven boys an seven girls are tapped for th honor. Fourteen alternates ar also chosen. The delegates mus be responsible students and hav the respect of both the studen body and faculty.
