Ag we were nearing the door we heard some singing it wasn't oxr kind of s4ng4ng, ani we co1ldn't seem to figure it o1t So walking in to our amazement the teacher was Marlys B atrud She was just letting the kids olt for recess, so we sat down and had a chat with her We couldn't figure out the singing, so we asked her about it She said that strangely enough all the books were backwards, so they were sing'ng the'r song backwards Curiously we asked who the author was, and she replied, it was Bill Twait noted author and humorist We naturally understand then why everything was so screwy It was getting late so we had to be on our way Hearing the end of our Journey we came upon another gate which led u out of this land Above the gate was a fleecy pink cload upon whfch Jeanne Lund, of all people, was sitting She NIB speakin to an imaginary person, and in all sorts of languages Chinese, French German panisn and many others She always had such great 1nterest in foreign coxntrfes, and was practicing her languages for her future trip abroad We dfdn't wish to disturb her, so we left her there floating awav on the pink cloud As she disappeared from sight we In the distance there could be heard very dim music which gradually got loud er and louder as we walked on Suddenly the big bass drum gave forth a terrific boom, and I found myself setting once again in the b'g cgmfgrtable chair beside the television set I have a great sigh of relief and peace as I finally had learned what had happened to the class of '53, and now y6u know too Jf if ,,f could see that she was writing something ln a book.
