“696444 Wwkfzq On our graduat'on day we write 'finis' to our book, 'Class of 'MQ to '53 Tet us flip back the pages and note our adventures of the past twelve years In our first chapter we found 25 infant explorers launching onto the ocean of education They were Darrel Casperson, Gene Goetsch, Mary Ann Ehret, Paul Glasnapp, Cleo Goetsch, Leroy Hansen, Clifford Jensen, Franklin Jensen, Donald Jensen, Marlys Long Jeanne Lund, Leah Belle Madsen, Carol Miller, Jon Olson, Gene O tedgaard, Paul Pedersen, Richard Petersen, Charles Petersen, Harvey Sat hoff, Darrel Soper, Ronnie Christensen, Paul Casperson, Beverly Christiansen, Dale Flint, and Donald Friders Those who left us that year were Donald Frlders, Leah Belle Madseny Darrel Casperson, Paul Casperson, Richard Pedersen, and Ron nie Christensen, In the second chapter of our book, we were only 17 pupils Donald Henlch joined us before the chapter ended and only one left us, Harvey Sathoff During our third chapter, we were joined by Martha and Maurice petergon and Bernard Andersen, while Donald Henich left us In our fourth chapter, Robert Kunath, and Lawerence Twedt Joined us but left before the chapter ended And in the fifth chapter of our interesting book, Everett Crees and David Saunder entered, and Marlys Long and Jon Olson were dropped from our roll During our sixth chapter, Gary Meyers teamed up with us and Everett Crees, Franklin Jensen and Marlene Sathoff dropped out Beginning the eighth chapter, Duane Moore, David Meyers, and Willard Twait entered our class, while Mary Ann Ehret and later, David Meyers moved away We started to blaze our names on the annuals of hlstory ln the Ninth Chap ter from the minute, we arrived at the assembly door buried under penny pencils, tablets, and green paint First we put our belongings in our desk and then put up a bold front in an effort to dlslllusion the sophomores who were smiling as each freshman breezed in and smacking their lips in anticipation Initiation went over with a big bang and while we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the sopho mores were left to clean up the mess This was the Chapter in which Janette and Janice Madsen, Carol Hammer, Mavis Paulsen, Lila Senf, David Jacobsen, Donald Heerdt, Norman Nelson, Kenneth E Peter sen,Harald Sorensen, Marlys Long, and Mary Jo Tindall enrolled with us Exploring the Tenth Chapter, we note that Bernard Anderson entered while Clifford Jensen and Lila Senf dropped out, also Marlys Long and Carol Miller left at the end of the chapter During our eleventh chapter, Richard Matheson, Wanda Shryock and Paul Jen nlngs Joined our class before the chapter was completed Wanda left us We order- ed our class rings, and presented our Junior class play And at the end of the year we planned the banquet and prom which we gave in honor of the class of ' 2 In our twelfth chapter, Letha Sheely and Marlys Bratrud became seniors with Now the long looked for chapter has arrived with only six of the original explorers of the first chapter still in the class They are Jeanne Lund, Donald Jensen Cleo Goetsch, Gene Ostedgaard, Paul Glasnapp, and Gene Goetsch, The others that have Joined us during our chapters and haved stayed by us till the end are Leroy Hansen, Martha Peterson, Maurice Peterson, Gary Meyers, Harald Sor ensen, Willard Twait, Duane Moore, Carol Hammer, Donald Heerdt, David Jacobsen, Norman Nelson, Kenneth E Peterson, Janice Madsen, Janette Madsen, Mavis Paulsen, Mary Jo Tindall, Paul Jennings, Richard Matheson, Letha Sheely, and Marlys Bratrud Though we have looked forward to graduation, still it is with some regret that we close this, The Annals of the Class of 1955 ws' va X4 .9 ' ' us.
