In August, they attended NCA Camp at Auburn University and brought home four superior ribbons and a spirit stick. They spent a lot of time with practice and money making projects. Ribbons and shakers were sold to help promote school spirit. Pep rallies got off with a good start this year and have been going well ever since. New ideas have sparkled up the rallies, and there has been more student and teacher participation. The cheerleaders were present at football and basketball games and wrestling matches. The cheerleaders explained that their success was due to their good relationships with each other. They not only did their jobs well, but also had a lot of fun doing them. The cheerleaders want to thank all the students and teachers for their help in promoting spirit at RHS. NASHVILLE STREET RINGGOLD, GA 935-3991 TIGER Donya Patterson and Kelly Kennedy MASCOTS PRINCIPAL After six years as principal of Ringgold High. I find that I am continually amazed at the caliber of students who pass through these halls. You are among the finest students in Georgia, and you achieve outstanding marks in all you attempt, whether it be in the field of academics, sports, or other extra-curricular activities. I am confident that with the same effort and dedication, each of you can make our community, state, and nation a better place in which to live. It is my fondest hope and sincerest desire that each may find the happiness and success that you seek. May God bless you always. Richard E. Clark se MR. FOSTER — ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL Steve Foster graduated from RHS in 1965. He then went to Carson- Newman College where he received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1969. After graduating from college, he taught at Ringgold Junior High for half a year before serving in the Army. In 1972 he came to Ringgold High as the chorus teacher. In 1973 he began serving as assistant principal. Mr. Foster received his Master's degree in Secondary School Administration from UTC in 1974. He is a man who has unselfishly given of his time and talents to RHS for the last six years. We will certainly miss him as he leaves to accept the position of principal at Gordon Lee High School. We wish him much success in his new endeavor. 60 COMPLIMENTS OF WALLIS FUNERAL HOME WALKER INSURANCE AGENCY 207 LAFAYETTE STREET 61 62 COMPLIMENTS OF WALKER EQUIPMENT SERVICE COMPANY RINGGOLD TINY TOWN DRESS SHOP JUNIORS AND LADIES SPECIALTY SHOP!
