What are these mad chemists going to destroy next? Now, freshmen, well . . . their story is a little different but can be compared to a senior. Let's take a look at school from a typical freshmen's point of view. For one thing, his morning probably started earlier than the days of middle schoolp getting up anywhere from a half an hour to an hour earlier showed de- termination and effort. Next, he would have to adapt to a new school, new teachers, more students, more studies, and less free time, but the major adaption being - N0 windows. Not knowing if a total eclipse is taking place or even a soul-warming sunny afternoon can be frustrating. Another change the freshmen had to cope with was the outrageous number of bells being rung throughout the day. Knowing that there was a maximum of seven classes, but 12 periods a day, still has some of the seniors tripped up. But, having the privilege of going to his locker after each class was a true advantage to all. We hope these memories brought back some chuckles knowing that you, the fresh- men class, made it through your first day of school.

Yes, seni- ors. We, as seniors, have one final year to Put it all together and make things work right. It is also a year to make critical decisions on plans way in advance, and the first day of school was no exception. For us, it wasn't 179 days left but our last-first day of high school, an experience we would never go through again. Maybe we did have a couple advan- tages over the freshmen class, such as know- ing our way around the building and how to ease into a classroom without the sweat trick- ling from our brow.
