'gf Z ' K A 'f3.Q? f5 The junior varsity volleyball team also fin- ished well in the '78 season. They had an excellent 11-1 league record. Teamwork was the key to success for the l.V.'s. Lori Ker- usken, who was the captain for the l.V.'s, helped lead the Ramettes on to victory. The only loss suffered by the Ramettes was to top riyal, Mon Valley Catholic. With the return of most of the l.V. players, the Ramettes are sure to be just as successful in '79, Above: The Ramettes success was due to their ability to per- form the basic skills, such as spiking. Coached by Mr. Loyal Dean, the Ring- gold Soccer team struggled through the 1978 season with an overall record of 1- 12-3. Despite their record, the soccer team showed a lot of hustle and improvement throhout the season. The Rams participated in the Edgewood School for the Deaf Tournament in which they took second place. Larry Manning of Donora, who was leading scorer for the soccer team, received an award for the best offensive player in the Edgewood Tournament. Also, senior Keith Kles was elected to the All-Star team. loe Merolillo hustles after the ball.
