Miisw W-My-nwwfm' Although they failed to put a lot of points on the scoreboard, the effort and teamwork displayed by the Rams in the 1978 season is commendable. Their 1-7-1 record is misleading, because the Rams played strong, consistent football throughout the season. The Rams' big victory was over Monessen, a long-time rival, in which they scored one touchdown to give them their win. Coach DeFelices' Rams performed well in each game and received strong support from their fans. Also, seniors Eric Barbao and Mike Sloan of Donora were named to the Big Ten All-Star team.
