Miisw W-My-nwwfm' Although they failed to put a lot of points on the scoreboard, the effort and teamwork displayed by the Rams in the 1978 season is commendable. Their 1-7-1 record is misleading, because the Rams played strong, consistent football throughout the season. The Rams' big victory was over Monessen, a long-time rival, in which they scored one touchdown to give them their win. Coach DeFelices' Rams performed well in each game and received strong support from their fans. Also, seniors Eric Barbao and Mike Sloan of Donora were named to the Big Ten All-Star team.

A wan' The drive is an essential part of golf. lacki Barna pre- Rick Ratchford concentrates on putting. pares to aid the team with her excellent style. 4 Scott Criss displays PGA form, SKA: 1 4134 Ringgold's golf team had an undefeated sea- son in '78 and became the champs in the Mon Valley interscholastic Golf League. Coach Ron Tumidajski's team defeated all of their opponents through their teamwork and consistent scoring. Besides their team efforts, a few of Ringgold's golfers captured individ- ual honors. Dave Prystash, Scott Spragg and Dave Pollock qualified for the VVPIAL Area Tournament in Sept. of 78. lacki Barna com- peted at the Champion Lakes Golf Course in the qualifier for the Pennsylvania State Girls Championship.
