Ringgold High School was unique because it was a construction site. The students attended school and received an education amid a flurry of activity. They watched as the campus vvas recon- structed and made into a better place, 'The Site' was relevant to the student body because they experienced the renovation ofa building and hopefully of themselves. Brian Hyslop -----.....i., Every once in a vvnile you have to have a temporary inconvenience for a permanent irnprovement. F Bob Irey 'fu x VJ? 3 vcr , 4- - v .N-J' In 5 Q -+ gat' The confusion of attending high school at a construction site proved the charac- ter of the student body, because through it all they remained strong, The stu- dents of Ringgold High School were a better breed than most. They built upon ' what they learned and did not allow such minor occurrences as tar stench and paint fumes to lower their morale. Although things were rough, the students who attended during the renovation can be proud. They realized that the pur- pose of school was to provide them a way to build themselves into mature and intelligent adults with a worthwhile future. Brian Hyslop f' H Q '2 41 on Construction ofa building takes a few years, but Construetionof a person's intelligence takes a lifetime. The sights are not the same as many remember. Our surroundings have Changed from day to Rich Scagline day. Amid the Construction and other mayhem, We will try to stick together, And do the best we Can. Helen Smith Construction is the building of new and better things. Although it may annoy some, it is for the good of human improvement. Linda Marg Construction of our lives, as in the construction ofa louilding, rnust be planned carefully and meticulously. We must construct our minds with the building blocks of education. Patty lanosik Brenda I-leidelbach aii -af. if ,,,, f, M fisf E 1 Y Construction has a special meaning to the students of Ring- gold. We hve seen how a building can be changed from an outdated relic into an updated building. We have noticed the metamorphosis of a building with strong foundations into a building with a bright new face. The construction of our school was hopefully not the only construction that we have witnessed. As many of the student writings throughout the Flame explain, construction also takes place within ourselves. We grow as we attend school. Hopefully, we enter our high school years with a strong foundation and leave with the pol- ish of an intelligent adult. Construction does not end at grad- uation, however. lt continues, if we are lucky, until the day we die. Brian Hyslop Workers Construct knowing that their efforts vvill be around long after they are gone. People should build their lives in hopes that they will be remembered fondly after they are gone. Dottie Burgoyne The lives we will live tomorrovv are determined by the lives vve live today. Aesthetic beauty is also taken into account by any architect. So must we be like the good architect and never ignore our cultural development. Music, art, drama, and communications have long been recognized as essential parts of any society. The inner talents or appreciation we have for any of these must be cultivated. Watkinson, Superintendent Dr. George Bulazo, lr., and Direc tor of Educational Facilities lohn I, Ross. iris The day-to-day running of the school is the job of an often unappreciated administration. Every high school has prob- lems, be they big or small, which arise every day. We can be grateful that the administra- tion keeps everything running smoothly. All too often, as happens in most places, we ignore the benefits which we receive from those in charge and instead concentrate on the rules which we do not like. The adminis- tration is an essential part of our school which deserves more praise than they are ever given. The job is not easy, but we are fortunate to have an administration which usually does a fine job keeping Ringgold High School running. av Principal G. Thomas Caudill X ., lr '-sff tv.
