Mr. Robert Meyer, woodwork- ing and pattern instructor, who served for forty-four years in the C ambridge School Department, died on Oct. 18, 1965. Born in 1898, Mr. Meyer graduated from Stevens Trade School, Lancaster, Pa., and attended the Lowell Institute, and M.1.T. for three years. Mr. Meyer was a noted wrestling coach, swim- ming coach and referee. Recently, he was in charge of the (swim- ming pool) War Memorial. Mr. Eugene Fitzgerald, who taught in this school for thirty years both as an English teacher and as head of the English: department, died in May, 1965. The faculty and student body will always remember the influence exerted on them by these two teachers.
