Senior Yearbook Class of 1964 Rindge Technical School Cambridge, Massachusetts

Page 6 text:

22 eT 5 Dedication This, the 75th edition of the Rindge Technical High School Yearbook, we wish to dedicate to the memories of two of the most important men in the area of Senior Class Organization: Mr. William H. Mahoney and Mr. Philip H. Diehl. Although we are deprived of their wisdom and advice in the most important year of our high school career, the memories of their fatherly concern will linger in our minds long after we have left the halls of Rindge behind us. The untiring spirit and matchless personality of Mr. Mahoney will for- ever be remembered by those who knew him best, but all of us truly feel that a measure of “Old R.T.S.” accompanied him to his eternal resting place. For the three years that we knew Mr. Mahoney, he enjoyed, for his unsurpassed contributions to high-school life, more respect and reverence than any other member of the faculty. If there ever was a man who deserved the loyalty and admiration of the students as much as Mr. Mahoney it was Mr. Diehl. Despite the fact that dur- ing his lifetime he did not receive wide acclaim for his golden attitude toward the students, his first love was Rindge and its students. He worked relentlessly to help many weak students strengthen themselves and fearlessly step out into a world of besetting trials. We the members of the Class of 64 cannot let these two men be heroes that were unwept, unhonored or unsung. Our alma mater has lost two irreplaceable individuals with their untimely deaths. For this reason we pay tribute to our beloved friends by making the following pages a memorial to their service.
