MR. WILLIAM J. KELLEHER Assistant Headmaster Upon entering Rindge four years ago, we were told by upperclassmen that under no circumstances or conditions should we arouse the wrath of a man, who to outward appearances, seemed pleasant and harmless. We soon realized the wisdom of the advice we had received. This man became our friend and our counsellor. Fair, just and friendly, but firm and unswerving when the rules or regulations of the school were broken. As we glance back over our four years we can fully appreciate the value of Mr. W. Kelleher to our alma mater. When Mr. Francis T. McCabe, our headmaster retired, Mr. Kelleher took over and operated the school in an efficient manner. Yet throughout the time he was acting headmaster he had time to advise and be our counsellor. Mr. William Kelleher we will never forget you. Your fatherly attitude both disciplinary and advisory, has served to make us, we hope, a class of boys soon to become men, that Rindge will be proud to call her own.

SWEENEY Headmaster We have often heard the quotation: ‘'To. get a job done, give it to a man who is already busy.” As headmaster, Mr. Sweeney has been a truly busy man: yet, never too busy to aid us both as a class and as individuals. Mr. Sweeney became headmaster in our junior year, and in the short time between his assumption of that office and our graduation, he has made many improvements in both the scholastic and social aspects of our high school lives. We, the class of 1962, wish you, Mr. Sweeney, all the health and good fortune pos- sible’in the many years ahead of you as headmaster of our beloved Rindge. We know that the strides you have taken in your short term as headmaster are but a token of the suc- cesses which await you.

MR. JOHN F. J. KELLEHER Assistant Headmaster As we review the prologues of preceeding yearbooks, the name of John Kelleher does not go back too far, but to read forward beginning with the year 1953, you will see that this man has become a vital part of each graduating class. To this year’s class, Mr. John Kelleher gave excellent guidance and encouragement for a secure future. We, the students of the graduating class of 1962, take this opportunity to thank Mr. John Kelleher for his assist- ance in our achieving our goal. As our freshman and sophomore dean, he was a friend to those who could not adjust themselves to high school life. When we were juniors and seniors, we could always ex pect to hear words of inspira- tion and encouragement from him to achieve greater heights. With all sincerity we feel that Mr. John Kelleher cannot be thanked sufficiently for his many kindnesses to our class.
