WS diay tenn MR. FRANCIS T. McCABE Headmaster Graduation always produces a certain sadness intermingled with the usual accom- panying joys. We are sorry at this time because we realize our high school days are a thing of the past. No longer are we high school students. We are sorry at this time because we have to leave behind friends we may never see again.. Joy is also in the air at graduation because we know we have completed success- fully the prescribed course. We are also joyful in the realization that we are members of the Rindge Alumni and as such have a definite responsibility. We will return to her often for the sturdy advice and counsel that we will surely need. The headmaster of our school typifies what a principal of Rindge should be. He was ever ready to assist us in our difficulties and yet placed us on our own responsibility to a degree that made our character stronger and more virile. To Mr. Francis T. McCabe, our headmaster, we extend our heart-felt appreciation at this time of parting. The benefits and advice he has given us we cannot as yet truly comprehend. None the less we cherish a sincere regard for him and know we are better and will be better youths because of our association with him. At the closing of four happy years we have spent under his care we go forth hoping by our lives to bring honor and glory to Rindge. This truly would be an admirable method of showing our appreciation to our beloved headmaster.

SENIOR CLASS YEARBOOK 1993 RINDGE TECHNICAL SCHOOL CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS

Page 9 text:

IQ A gray haired man sits in an easy chair before a roaring fire, gazing moodily into the flames. There is a book on his lap; it is a brown covered book. He sees in the swirling smoke the school he attended, the faces of his old schoolmates; they are indis- tinct. He opens the book. He sees the well-known and well-loved faces on every page. Pleasant mem- ories throng his brain. The experiences his class had. He remembers the studying and good times they had. He wonders where his old classmates have wandered. There are probably some still in Cambridge. Others have strayed to all parts of the globe. Some may have become famous; others have led quiet lives. He is glad, oh so glad, that he has his treasure book to recall to his memory those beloved faces and places of the Class of 753. POCO oo With this thought in mind the staff went to work.
