28 “THE BROWNIE” 1940 LOUIS OLIVER BRUNEAU “Louie” 116 Jackson Street 20 years old. “Louie” prepared at the Notre Dame de Pitie Grammar School. Next fall he intends to go to college, He devotes much of his time to his hobby, which is Photo- graphy. Physics heads the list as to his favorite study. Good luck, MARIO JOSEPH BUTTARO “Butsi” 115 Fourth Street 18 years old. ‘“Butsi,” one of Rindge’s foremost musicians, entered Rindge from the Thorndike Grammar School. By matriculating at the New England Conservatory of Music after graduation, ‘“Butsi” intends to capitalize in his musical ability. The Clarinet and Basketball are his hobbies; Music and Physics are his favorite studies. ‘“Butsi”’ was a promin- | ent cog in the basketball team during his Junior and Senior years. He also played four years in the band and orchestra. To a fine student, a good sport and a true friend, we bid adieu, GEORGE ARTHUR CABELUS “Cowboy” 243 Columbia Street 17 years of age. He hailed to us from the Fletcher Gram- mar School. His favorite studies are Printing and Music. He would like to be a Cowboy Musician and play over the radio. He took part in the Gym Meets ’36-’37 and ’38-’39 as a tumbler. A member of the Junior Council, Safety Patrol, Color Guard. He also won first prize at the 1940 Football Night. Georgie punch that cow. PAUL CALLUM Se “Cal” “Poppy” ae, ; . 3 Howard Street aon ae Paul is 18 years old and came to us from the Webster Grammar School. ‘“Cal’s” favorite subject is Chemistry. He Was on the Gym Team the year Rindge won the city cham- pionship. Among his hobbies are Swimming, Fencing, and he is a remarkable ‘Skier. During his stay here he was a prominent student and a member of the Chemistry Club, in the Senior Drama ’88, ’39, ’40, also in the Sophomore Play in 37. He is an Associate Editor of this Yearbook. A member a’so of the Junior and Senior Councils. The interesting in- aa cident of Paul’s was of his participation in the dramatization over station WAAB under the supervision of Mr. W. Lynch. Sey AS me Paul intends to go to Mass. Pharmacy. We know he will be an excellent student. Good luck, Paul. GEORGE EARLE CAMBER “Speed” 19 Trowbridge Street George is 18 years old and came to us from the Longfel- low Grammar School. “Speed” has beeen in the Sophomore Christmas Play of ’37, and the two Senior Dramas following 38, °39. While here George took to the study of Metallurgy. If you succeed in your life outside as well as you have here you'll get along splendidly. Good luck, George.

1940 RINDGE TECH SCHOOL 27 GEORGE COSMOS BRAGALONE “Gigge”’ 135 Thorndike Street George is 19 years old and came to us from the St. Francis Grammar School, where he was a clever student. He con- tinued this brilliancy throughout his high school career. His hobbies are Billiards and Baseball, in both of which he ex- cells. His favorite study is History, a subject that seems to catch the majority of the seniors’ eyes. After graduation, George intends to become a Printer. If he employs the same all around ability later that he displayed during, his school life we can be sure that he will be an immense success. To him we say in all sincerity, “good luck.” HAROLD BRENNER “Pinky” 393 Broadway 18 years old. Came to us from Southern Junior High School, Somerville. “Pinky” likes to do Radio and Electrical work and wishes to make that his future. His favorite study is Math. Harold is a member of the Register Staff (a news- boy), Safety Patrol, Chorus and Checker Club. Good luck, ATV ere AROLD BRENNER JOSEPH W. BROOKS “Joe” 48 Huron Avenue 18 years old. Joseph came to Rindge from Saint John’s Parochial School. Joseph’s favorite studies are Study Periods and Lunch Period. His hobby is Photography. Joseph made the Track Team and Baseball Team. BROWNE “Walt” “Brownie” 216 Erie Street Age 18. “Walt”, who came to us from the Morse Gram- mar School, plans to enter Business College after departing from Rindge. The subjects “Walt” liked best were History and Bookkeeping. He was for two years a member of the Glee Club and served in the Junior Council, Senior Council and Year Book Committee. BROWNE “Red” “Brownie” 216 Erie Street 18 years old. “Red,” the twin brother of Walt, came from the Morse Grammar School, and intends to enter Business College also. Bookkeeping and Advertising are his favorite studies. “Red’’ was a member of the Track Team, and served in the Glee Club, Safety Patrol, Junior Council, Senior Coun- cil, Sophomore Gym Meet and is a member of the Year Book Committee.
