“THE BROWNIE” [N PUBLISHING “THE BROWNIE,” it has been the aim of the staff to record in permanent form such happenings as may prove of lasting interest, and to pre- sent, as accurately as possible, a composite picture of our four years. We have endeavored to make this a volume of retrospection, to afford a means of showing the spirit of Rindge, and to make it live again in those student days which we are about to leave. In all sincerity we hope that our work will meet with the approval and commendation of our classmates who by reason of their unselfish support, have been the real power behind what- ever success we may have attained.

We go forth armed with the teachings we have received here at Rindge, shielded not by experience, but by the bright memory of the pleasant days of our youth. They are our sword and halberd. And when the fire of life begins to sink, this book will be revered not for the familiar faces of friends alone—but for the precious memories of the happiest expression of our youth,
