While in school he has been on several Honor Rolls thus fulfilling his desire. “Bob” has not told us his future plans but we are sure he will be successful in any undertaking. LORING CUSHMAN CHILD “Cookey” 41 Lincoln Street, Lexington, Mass. 20 years, 8 months Here we have one of our aviation fans, Loring Child. He intends to de- vote his future to the study of the air-plane engine. Although “Cookey” does not belong to the Glee Club he is quite musical, for he plays the traps, trumpet, bugle and piano. VALENTINE THOMAS CHISHOLM s 7a|?? 60 Dana Street. 18 years, 8 months Next let us introduce “Val,” one of our architectural drawing students. While in school “Val” was a member of the Honor Roll as well as being in the Glee Club and Traffic Squad. We feel that he will be successful in his future architectural drawing career. LOUIS FRANCIS CLAUSS “Louie” 34 Essex Street. 17 years, 7 months “Louie” is well known for his good work as the representative of Rindge Tech on the Junior Record Board. Coming from the Harvard School, he studied automobile repairing an occupation which he intends to take up upon graduating. Good luck “Louis!” Basketball 28 | LEO JOSEPH COGSWELL “Lefty” 8 Peters Street. 18 years, 1 month “Lefty” entered Rindge four years ago to prepare for college. He intends to become enrolled at either Northeastern or Boston University, to study ac- counting. While at Rindge he was known for his pleasant way as he was a friend to all. In his second year he was a member of the Honor Roll. His activities, however, were not confined to any particular subject for he was a member of the Freshman Baseball team and a member of the Travel Club. We now present John Corcoran, one of the Sports Editors of the Register. He entered Rindge from the Webster Grammar School. While in school he has participated in many events and enterprises. MICHAEL A. CORVENO “Mike” 19 Brown Street. 19 years, 4 months And now we have “Mike” Corveno, a graduate of the Russell Grammar School. “Mike’s” future plans are still undecided. JOHN COSTA “Ousty” k 715 Main Street Here he is! John Costa, the big publicity man! For two years he has ably filled his position of publicity manager of the Register. ANTHONY STANLEY BARKAVICH “Barkie” 49 Lincoln Street. 17 years, 7 months There is hardly any need to say anything more about “Barkie”’ for who does not know him. He has led the school in scholastic honors innumerable times. He is a graduate of the Wellington School, entering Rindge four years ago to take up electrical work, which he hopes to continue at M. I. T. Good LEONARD BELORUSSKY “Bell” 884 Massachusetts Avenue. 19 years And now we have one of our star football players with us. ‘Bell’ came to Rindge from a Boston school, taking a college course. Besides being a football player he was a member of the second crew in 1928. He is unde- cided about his future plans but if he works like he plays football he will be a success. Good luck “Bell!” Football ’28, ’29 ,30, Crew ’28. JAMES T. BENSON “Tubber” 27 Hancock Street. 17 years, 8 months Next in line is James T. Benson, a graduate of the Webster School. ‘Tub- ber” intends to go to the Lowell Institute to study electricity. During the summer he plans to work. Good luck, ‘“Tubber.” ERNEST MELVIN BERRY “Chunk” 2 Village Street. 16 years, 8 months Let us now introduce Ernest Berry, who hails from the Roberts Grammar School. He claims his favorite study is English, although he has done better ) in his shops. Ernest plans to enter some kind of automobile works after grad- uation. We wish him good luck in this enterprise. Checker °27. WALTER JOSEPH BLESSINGTON 28 Prentiss Street. 17 years, 5 months What a fine drawing? Who is the artist? Why, Walter Blessington of course! He’s the fellow who intends to take up a course at the Massachu- setts School of Art in order to study art as a life’s work. While at Rindge Walter was known for his fine work with artist’s utensils. He has been on every Honor Roll since he came to Rindge. Best wishes for luck, Walter. Freshman Baseball ’27. JAMES WILLIAM BRINE “Jim” 1558 Massachusetts Avenue. 19 years, 9 months A smile, a cheery greeting, and there you have ‘Jim.’ He graduated from the Peabody Grammar School. ‘Jim’ intends to become a cadet at West Point in the near future. While in school he has been prominent in class af- 79 fairs. We wish you good luck “Jim.” Senior Drama Committee 730. JAMES THOMAS BOYLE Jim” 194 Norfolk Street. 17 years, 7 months Four years ago “Jim” came from St. Mary’s to try his fortune at Rindge. In his first and fourth year we find he has attained a position on the Honor Roll, getting his best marks in mathematics. We do not know what he will do after graduating, but we are sure he will be successful in any undertaking. Radio Club ’30, Treasurer 730. JOHN G. CALLAN, JR. “Jink” 24 Quincy Street. 19 years, 2 months Let us now pass to John G. Callan, Jr., one of our popular Seniors. John’s hobby as well as his favorite study is woodcarving. M. I. Next in line we find “Al,” a graduate of the Rob- erts School. There seems to be little record o f his activities at Rindge, except the fact that he has never failed a subject. Next year “Al” plans to work on automobiles, for he has specialized in engine work.

JOHN W. COSTINE “Jack” 110 Vassal Lane. 19 years, 7 months John is one of the several fellows representing the Russell Sc hool. It seems difficult to pick up much of a record about “Jack” while in school. Dur- ing his vacations he attended the C. M. C. T. camp. His favorite and best study is shop mathematics. At present John’s plans are undecided but we wish him the best of luck in whatever line he takes up. JOHN BERNARD COUGHLAN ACE. 60 Maple Avenue. 17 years, 2 months “Jack” came from St. Mary’s Grammar School. While in school he has been active in many enterprises as well as being a member of the Honor Roll during last two years. “Jack’s” plans for the future are undecided but we feel sure he will be successful in any position. ALVIN JOSEPH CRAMTON sh Al? 334% Inman Street. 17 years, 9 months “Al” entered Rindge from the Sacred Heart School to study drafting. While in school he has been on the Honor Roll several times, starring in me- chanical drawing. ‘Al’ plans to be an automobile engineer and designer, a position which he will probably successfully fill. EDMUND FRANCIS CORKERY “Deacon” 88 Putnam Avenue. 18 years, 4 months When Edmund graduated from St. Paul’s, he took up a college course at Rindge in preparation for his studies at Boston College. During his last year in school he has made a name for himself in the record he has set up on the Honor Roll, being among the first five boys. Good luck “Deacon.” J. FRANK H. COCKUM 4 Buena Vista Park. 17 years, 9 months Frank entered Rindge from the Webster School to take up an electrical course in preparation for electrical career. During his stay in school he has never failed a subject and has been a member of the Honor Roll in his first and last years. Good luck, Frank! GEORGE WILLIAM DONOVAN “Tubber” 21 Carver Street Here we have another Agassiz graduate in “Tubber.’”’ We have only a few traces of him in school but they speak well of him. He was a member of the football squads of ’27 and ’28. Next year he intends to go to Exeter. Good luck “Tubber!” MICHAEL JOHN DOODY “Mike” 32 Bristol Street. 17 years, 10 months “Mike” hails from St. Mary’s School. He claims his favorite study is economics and law. JOHN JOSEPH DORITY “Jay” 357 Allston Street. 17 years, 1 month John entered Rindge from the Webster Grammar School to study elec- tricity. Re plans to enter the electrical field after graduating, specializing in motor and generator work. Among his several hobbies we find poetry writing and we may be sure that he has some talent along this line. During his last year in school he has been an “Honor Roller.” DANIEL FRANCIS DOYLE “Benny” 351 Walden Street. 18 years, 1 month Next in line is Daniel Doyle, a graduate of St. Peter’s School.
